The Bank of France settled monetary fund shares worth 2 million euros ($2.4 million) on a private blockchain platform, IZNEZ, using central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot experiment in December. The fund was purchased and sold by investors using CBDC. IZNEZ is distributed ledger technology provided by SETL, a UK-based regulated blockchain services provider. The CBDC will give instant transactions while keeping complete track of records.
