Hi there,
I'm a casual investor who started a few years ago when bitcoin was around $5k.
I am mainly invested in bitcoin and etherum. I'm no expert so looking for a bit of advice on what to do.
I understand normally the best strategy is to buy when it's low and then bank your profits when it's high to re invest.
Can I ask though (making this number up) but let's say you buy $5000 dollars of bitcoin and own 0.03 of a bitcoin... If the price rises and you now have $10,000 does that mean you now have 0.06 of a bitcoin? I think it doesn't... However what happens if I decide to bank the 5k profits... Does the 0.03 I hold reduce or only if I pull out more than my profits?
I want to hold on to my original investment but also want to cash out some profits to re invest.
Let's say I cashed out my profits of 5k and then brought back in at a much higher price e.g $25,000 is that wise?
Apoligies as I know I'm sounding pretty basic and this is probs really easy to understand but I just want to be 100 per cent sure so really do appreciate any honest advice talking me through it and if my approach makes sense.
I don't want to sell all my money originally invested as I believe it will continue to grow but equally wondering if leaving my profits in and not reinvesting them is a bad idea as I could have turned them into even bigger profits by reinvesting.
Many thanks in advance
